Make learning letters fun with this free printable alphabet memory game! Perfect for preschoolers and early learners, this set helps kids practice recognizing uppercase and lowercase letters while strengthening memory skills.
How it works:
👉Print the cards on standard paper or cardstock.
👉Cut out and play memory match.
👉Use for sorting, letter sounds, ABC order, and more!
How to Play:
1: Print the cards and cut along the lines. Laminate if you want them to last.
2: Mix the cards and lay them face down in rows.
3: Take turns flipping two cards. If they show the same letter in uppercase and lowercase, keep the pair.
4: If they don’t match, flip them back and try again on your next turn.
5: Play until all pairs are found. The player with the most pairs wins.
Tip: Start with fewer pairs for beginners. Add more as skills grow.
More Ways to Use the Cards:
- Alphabet sorting: Make two piles for uppercase and lowercase.
- Letter sounds: Say the sound each time a card is flipped.
- ABC order: Line up cards in sequence to practice ordering.
- Go Fish: Use the cards like a simple Go Fish game. Ask “Do you have the lowercase g?”
This printable is easy to prep, engaging, and screen-free—perfect for homeschool, classroom centers, or learning at home.

These are very simple but useful tools if your kids or students are practicing their writing skills or learning to sound out words. Most of the words are CVC words (consonant-vowel-consonant), but there are a few CCVC and CVCC words as well, along with "egg" and "scrub". The flashcards include 6 words per word family (or less, as with -ox and -up), but the tracing and trace & write sheets include up to 8 words per word family.
Great tool for early writers to practice tracing there words. It will help with writing, spelling, and reading!!!
My five year old who is about to start kindergarten is excited to start working on tracing words. I love that he can see how words with the same letters have the same sounds and begin to understand word families. The simple design helps keep the focus on the words, letters, and sounds, with less distractions than other "busy" resources I've seen. I also appreciate the different formats for different learning levels.
